In our school, we implement the innovative financial education program MY FINANCE. The project is organized by the Youth Enterprise Foundation and co-financed by the NBP and the Kronenberg Foundation at Citi Handlowy.
MY FINANCE - this innovative financial education program is aimed at young people aged 16-19. Its purpose is to broaden students' knowledge of the financial sector's operation and to develop skills that will enable them to manage their personal finances efficiently and build their own financial security. Universal economic education is aimed at expanding knowledge and skills and shaping attitudes that will allow young people to function efficiently in a market economy.
The MY FINANCE educational program uses innovative methods of working with students, which aim to stimulate cognitive activity in them, provide them with practical knowledge and key skills in the field of financial education.
The MY FINANCE program consists of six thematic modules: Finance world, Like banks, My investments, Investment in the future, Safe finances, My budget. The content of the program is in line with the core curriculum of the subject: basics of entrepreneurship. Each module is equipped with a set of teaching materials that enable the teacher to apply innovative methods of working with students. Individual modules contain proposals for educational tasks of varying levels of difficulty, and the concept of the program gives the teacher the opportunity to implement them in school in a variety of ways. The form of program implementation used in a given school is environmentally determined. The final choice of exercises to be carried out with students is made by the teacher, taking into account their needs and interests as well as time possibilities.
The program is implemented during the lessons "Basics of Entrepreneurship" and "Economics in Practice".
